What is Hypnotherapy?

There are several types of hypnosis; at Altogether Psychology Services, our resident Hypnotherapist, Neil Mellor, uses the Ericksonian hypnosis method. Hypnotherapy has been used to treat an extensive array of conditions or unwanted behaviour. Neil uses hypnosis to treat the following areas.

Hypnosis Methods

At Altogether Psychology Services, we practice Ericksonian Hypnotherapy.

Differing from other forms, Ericksonian hypnotherapy uses indirect suggestion and also storytelling to alter a patient's behaviour. This type of hypnotherapy can appeal to those who are seeking a different approach or even those who have tried and disliked traditional forms of hypnosis in the past.
